Chelsea Wolfe releases new album The Dark

Musician Chelsea Wolfe has released a new album titled ‘The Dark’, marking a stylistic evolution in her career. Developed in collaboration with Jennifer Decilveo, the project moves away from the dense, dark Goth-Metal and doom elements of her previous work toward a more accessible sound.

The album features a blend of acoustic folk, piano, and cinematic textures. Key tracks include ‘Cold’, which utilizes acoustic guitar and builds into a grand ensemble, and ‘Seethe’, characterized by precise percussion and layered vocal harmonies. Other tracks like ‘Humours’ incorporate electronic textures and collaborations with the Icelandic group Kælan Mikla, while ‘Swallower’ continues the album's theme of progressive intensity.
