Chełm municipal companies report mixed 2025 financial results

Financial results for ten municipal companies in Chełm for the year 2025 show a split between profitability and significant losses. Seven entities reported positive outcomes, generating a combined profit of approximately 4.52 million PLN. The Municipal Management of Communal Economy (MPGK) recorded the highest profit at nearly 2 million PLN, followed by the Housing Services Enterprise with a profit of 1.319 million PLN.

Conversely, three companies reported losses. Chełmski Klub Sportowy recorded the most substantial deficit, ending the year with a loss of approximately 8.86 million PLN. The Chełm Water Park and Municipal Markets also reported a loss of 1.206 million PLN, which the city attributes to ongoing debt repayments from 2015. Additionally, SIM Chełm reported a loss of 156.8 thousand PLN, linked to expenditures for new residential building project documentation.
