Chełm Primary School to open new sports hall named after Kazimierz Prus

A new sports hall will be officially opened at Primary School No. 3 in Chełm on September 3, 2026. The facility will be named after Kazimierz Prus, a long-time teacher, coach, and educator who was instrumental in the school's sporting history.

Prus, who passed away in 2011, was known for using sports as a tool for character building and organizing conditioning camps for youth. The naming of the hall fulfills a long-held dream of his to see a dedicated sports facility established at the school where he dedicated much of his career.
