Chemnitz announces 2027 art triennale and Linux conference

Chemnitz will host two distinct events in early 2027. The 12th JugendKunstTriennale, organized by the Saxon-Bavarian Cities Network, is scheduled to take place from April 10 to May 23, 2027, at the Neue Sächsische Galerie im TIETZ.

The art competition is designed for young artists aged 14 to 25. It offers various prizes, including two awards of 500 euros for the 14–18 and 19–25 age groups, along with potential recognition prizes and additional support from the Kunstladen Selbitz e. V.

Additionally, the Chemnitz Linux-Tage has announced its 2027 dates for March 20 and 21. The event will feature lectures, workshops, and a dedicated program for children and youth under the theme ‘Technology that is fun.’ Tickets are set at 12 euros for standard entry and 6 euros for discounted rates, with live-streaming options available for remote participants.
