Chełmno hosts second Światłoczuły light installation festival

The second edition of the Światłoczuły Festival recently took place in Chełmno, featuring 12 unique multimedia installations, mappings, and modern light displays that transformed the city's architecture. The event attracted residents and tourists over three days, showcasing works from artists representing Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and Armenia.

Key locations for the installations included the market square, the Grudziądz Gate, the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Old and New Planty, and the water tower. A notable highlight was the ‘Guardians of the Gate’ mapping at the Grudziądz Gate, created by local resident Antoni Ośmiałowski based on award-winning drawings by children from the Chełmno Cultural Center.

Funded by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship budget, the festival aims to serve as a platform for creative exchange and education. Regional Marshal Piotr Całbecki noted the event's growing international character and expressed intentions for its continued development in future years.
