Taichung mayoral polls show Chiang Chi-chen leading He Xin-chun

The New Taiwan National Policy Research Institute released the latest polling data for the Taichung mayoral election. The survey shows Kuomintang candidate Chiang Chi-chen leading with 42.8%, while Democratic Progressive Party candidate He Xin-chun follows with 36.1%, leaving a gap of 6.7% between the two.

Regarding favorability, 48.2% of Taichung residents favor Chiang Chi-chen for the position, compared to 23.6% for He Xin-chun. Approximately 21.1% of respondents expressed no clear opinion. He Xin-chun responded to the results by stating that her internal polling shows an even narrower margin, suggesting a “golden cross” is imminent.
