Chen Po-feng Education Foundation awards 2.6 million TWD in scholarships

The Chen Po-feng Education Foundation has partnered with the Taitung County Government to provide 2.6 million TWD in scholarships to 124 students from low-income families. The award ceremony covered students ranging from junior high school and high school to university and graduate levels.

Since 2002, the foundation has worked with the Taitung County Salvation Army to assist students in reducing economic pressure and pursuing education. Since the formal establishment of the Chen Po-feng Education Foundation in 2012, the organization has distributed over 15.86 million TWD across 1,068 scholarships, in addition to sponsoring elementary school baseball teams.

Taitung County officials noted that the foundation's chairman, Chen Po-feng, has a long history of supporting his hometown of Dawu Township, evolving from individual donations to a county-wide philanthropic effort.
