This victory marks her second consecutive title in this discipline at the Asian Games, making her only the third athlete in the history of the games to successfully defend this specific title.

This result extends China's winning streak in the women's 3m springboard to 14 consecutive Asian Games, during which they have swept both the gold and silver medals.
