Chennai Love Story box office success lifts actor Kiran Abbavaram

The Telugu romance drama "Chennai Love Story" recorded strong earnings in its opening weekend, with industry tracker Sacnilk reporting a worldwide gross of 16.62 crore rupees after two days. An official poster later cited a higher figure of 25.2 crore, likely including premiere revenues. The film’s show count rose from 1,638 to 1,762 between Friday and Saturday, indicating growing audience interest despite competition from other releases.

The box‑office performance has boosted lead actor Kiran Abbavaram’s standing in Telugu cinema. Following a previous setback, his recent films—including "KA", "K Ramp" and now "Chennai Love Story"—have reinforced his marketability. Abbavaram is slated to make his directorial debut with a full‑length entertainer slated for October, a move that could further raise his profile.
