Cheonan to host 2026 Bread Pang Pang Day festival

The ‘2026 Bread Pang Pang Day Cheonan’ festival is scheduled to take place from the 17th to the 18th at the Cheonan General Stadium. Co-hosted by Cheonan City and the Cheonan Branch of the Korea Baking Association, the event is expanding into a complex cultural festival focused on the theme of ‘seeing, tasting, making, and enjoying’ bread.

Key features of the festival include a bread market featuring 53 local bakeries, an exhibition of 58 bread-related works including award-winning pieces and international varieties, and a significantly expanded baking experience program. This year, the program aims to accommodate 800 teams across 13 types of activities, including traditional bread-making from eight different countries such as Vietnam, China, and the Philippines.

To support the local economy, the festival includes a ‘Farmer’s Market’ selling regional specialties like pears, grapes, and walnuts. Additionally, a follow-up discount program will allow customers who spend over 10,000 won at the bread market during the festival to receive a 10% discount on subsequent purchases at participating bakeries between the 19th and 31st.
