Cheong Wa Dae Sarangchae hosts regional culture exhibition

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Regional Culture Promotion Agency, has launched a special exhibition titled ‘Islands, Fields, and Mountains Rise’ at Cheong Wa Dae Sarangchae in Seoul. Running until December 31, the exhibition explores how diverse topographies and ecological environments have shaped the lives and cultures of local residents.

The exhibition focuses on the cultural content of three special self-governing provinces: Jeju, Jeonbuk, and Gangwon. It aims to highlight the unique cultural values and roots that form the foundation of K-culture. The showcase utilizes various media, including photography, video, and artifacts, to provide a multi-dimensional view of these regions.

The exhibition will be released in stages: Jeju-themed content debuted on September 16, followed by Jeonbuk on October 14, and Gangwon on November 11. Starting December 2, a comprehensive special exhibition will bring the cultural resources of all three regions together. The event also includes ‘Culture Wednesday’ regular performances and interactive programs to facilitate exchange between local stakeholders and visitors.
