Cheongdo County to host Persimmon and World Comedy festivals

Cheongdo County will host the Cheongdo Persimmon Festival and the Cheongdo World Comedy Art Festival simultaneously from the 16th to the 18th at the Cheongdo Outdoor Performance Area. Under the slogan ‘Good News of Persimmons’, the event features various performances and experiential programs highlighting the region's persimmons and comedy heritage.

The festival lineup includes comedians such as Park Hwi-soon, Im Woo-il, and Jung Seung-hwan, alongside musical performances by artists like Park Sang-min and Insooni. The comedy festival component will feature international acts, including acrobatic performances from Japan’s Shogomujo Brothers and Malaysia’s Aaron Pang Balloon Show.

Additional activities include a ‘Persimmon Dessert World Tour’, a kids' land, and local cultural experiences such as traditional Korean music and vinegar foot baths. To facilitate attendance, the county is providing free shuttle buses connecting the event site to Cheongdo Station and other key locations.
