Cheongsong White Porcelain Festival concludes with high visitor engagement

The 2026 Cheongsong White Porcelain Festival concluded successfully after a three-day event held from the 11th to the 13th at the Cheongsong White Porcelain Pottery Village. The festival aimed to showcase the 500-year history and tradition of Cheongsong white porcelain through a variety of interactive programs, including exhibitions, hands-on experiences, performances, and markets.

To appeal to multiple generations, the event featured workshops such as pottery wheel experiences, hand-painting, and 'visible workshops' where visitors could observe artisans at work. Playful activities like finger curling and moon jar cornhole were also popular among families. The cultural program included local performing arts, street performances like magic and mime, and musical acts by various artists.

The festival also saw significant commercial activity. Through discounts and payback events, the exhibition and sales area saw active participation from residents and visitors. This increased consumption was supported by the local basic income pilot program for rural areas, which bolstered regional spending power. Organizers noted that the event successfully transitioned from a traditional exhibition to an experiential cultural festival.
