Cheongyeon launches AI-driven greeting call service for elderly care

Cheongyeon, a life-care platform, has launched ‘Cheongyeon Care Greeting Call,’ an AI-based telephone service designed to check on the well-being of elderly parents. The service aims to alleviate the emotional and practical burdens on the 5060 generation of children who may live far from their parents or struggle to maintain regular contact due to work and household responsibilities.

Unlike traditional automated systems that repeat fixed scripts, this AI service utilizes memory to maintain conversational continuity. It remembers details from previous calls—such as a mention of blooming flowers—to ask follow-up questions, fostering a sense of emotional connection. The AI can also provide real-time information on weather, news, and health topics through search functions. The conversation structure is specifically designed based on elderly psychology to promote emotional stability and self-esteem.

When a call concludes, a summarized report called an ‘Anbu Note’ (Greeting Note) is sent to the children, detailing the parent’s mood, meal status, health, and any unusual occurrences. The service is accessible via an Android app with a simplified user interface featuring large text and buttons for seniors. Cheongyeon is offering a free trial period until October 31 before transitioning to a monthly subscription model.
