Mayor Chepe Guerrero of Corregidora Recognizes Citizen Committees and Opens New Civil Registry Office

Corregidora municipal president Chepe Guerrero honored citizen committees that monitor public‑works projects, awarding first‑place prizes to Ma. Leonor Uribe, Maricela Reséndiz and Alma Gabriela Ledesma, among others. He said, “Gracias por invertir su tiempo y atención en el Comité. Es una inversión muy importante porque así tienen confianza ustedes, sus vecinos, y pueden tener la certeza de que nosotros buscamos la manera de destinar más recursos a las necesidades de nuestras colonias y comunidades.” The ceremony highlighted the role of these groups in promoting transparency and channeling community concerns to municipal authorities.

Guerrero also inaugurated a new civil‑registry office in the La Negreta delegation, aiming to bring birth, death and burial‑related services closer to residents. He noted, “Nos encontramos en la nueva oficina del Registro Civil en La Negreta… con este nuevo espacio buscamos acercar los servicios del Municipio a la población para que puedan realizar diversos trámites de manera más ágil y cercana.” The office, located on Tulipán street, will operate Tuesdays and Thursdays, offering birth registrations, death certificates, certified copies and permits for inhumations, cremations and transfers.
