Cheri Canon honored as 2026 Woman of Impact

Dr. Cheri Canon has been recognized as part of the 2026 Women of Impact. Currently serving as the chief physician executive of UAB Health System and president of the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation, Canon is a nationally recognized radiologist.

Her career at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) spans over three decades. She previously served as the longtime chair of UAB’s Department of Radiology and held the presidency of the American Board of Radiology. Canon has emphasized that patient impact serves as her primary guiding principle in her medical and leadership roles.
