Chernin Entertainment expands film division with new leadership

Chernin Entertainment, the independent film and television production company founded by Peter Chernin, has announced several leadership expansions and promotions within its film division. Under the direction of movies chief David Ready, the company aims to scale its slate following recent successes such as the film ‘Backrooms’ and the Netflix production ‘The Last House.’

Marisa Paiva has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Film. Paiva previously held roles at 3000 Pictures and Fox 2000, where she worked on projects including ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover,’ ‘Life of Pi,’ and ‘Water for Elephants.’

Internal promotions include Brady Fujikawa, who has been named to lead development and production. Fujikawa has overseen projects such as ‘High Side’ and ‘Palm Grove.’ Samantha Nisenboim has been appointed Senior Vice President of Film, and Max Gains has joined the team as a Creative Executive.
