Cherokee County deputy arrested suspect after being struck by ATV
A Cherokee County sheriff's deputy was struck and knocked to the ground by an ATV during an attempted traffic stop in North Carolina. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Thomas Lee Prince, had reportedly fled from Polk County, Tennessee, and was traveling toward Murphy.
After being run over, the deputy returned to his patrol vehicle and continued the pursuit. The chase concluded on Candy Mountain Road following a physical altercation, during which deputies used a Taser to subdue Prince.
