Cherry-sized hail damages gardens in Nagyszokoly, Hungary

A strong thunderstorm south of Lake Balaton produced intense hail that fell on Nagyszokoly and surrounding areas in southern Transdanubia. The hailstones were described as cherry‑sized, causing minor damage to gardens and vegetable patches.

The same storm system also brought rain to the central regions of Hungary and produced rainbows in several locations, while other parts of the Transdanubian region experienced additional hail and heavy showers.
