Cherry XTRFY launches M42V2 lightweight gaming mouse

Cherry XTRFY has released the M42V2, a wired gaming mouse priced at 39.99 Euro. The device features a symmetrical design weighing 45 grams and includes two interchangeable back shells that can be swapped without tools to accommodate different grip styles, such as palm, claw, or fingertip.

Technical specifications include a Pixart 3327 sensor with a sensitivity range of 400 to 6,200 CPI. While the sensor offers lower resolution than the 2020 M42 predecessor, which utilized a Pixart 3389 sensor, the new model is lighter and features a solid shell rather than the perforated sides used previously. The mouse is equipped with Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot switches rated for 80 million clicks and uses UHMW-PE glides on the underside.

Notably, the M42V2 does not require dedicated software. Users can adjust CPI values, polling rates up to 1,000 Hz, lift-off distance, and debounce times directly on the device using button combinations.
