CHERRY XTRFY unveils M42V2 ultralight gaming mouse

CHERRY XTRFY has introduced the M42V2, an ultralight wired gaming mouse, at Gamescom 2026. The device features a symmetrical design weighing only 45 grams, making it one of the lightest solid-shell mice on the market.

A key feature of the M42V2 is its modularity; it includes two interchangeable back shells that can be swapped without tools to accommodate different hand sizes and grip styles, such as palm, claw, or fingertip grips. The mouse is equipped with a PixArt 3327 optical sensor supporting sensitivity between 400 and 6,200 CPI, and Huano Transparent Blue Shell Pink Dot switches rated for 80 million clicks.

In line with the brand’s approach, the M42V2 allows for software-free configuration. Users can adjust settings like CPI, polling rate, lift-off distance, and debounce time directly on the device using LED indicators. The mouse is priced at €39.99, $39.99, and £39.99.
