Chery and Huawei launch premium electric SUV Luxeed RX

Chinese automakers Chery and Huawei, under the Luxeed brand, have unveiled the RX, a large premium electric SUV. Official documentation from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology confirms the model’s dimensions (5.020 m long, 2.007 m wide, 1.585 m high, 3.000 m wheelbase) and its fully battery‑electric powertrain.

Two power versions are offered: a single‑motor rear‑wheel‑drive unit delivering 377 hp (277 kW) and an all‑wheel‑drive setup with two motors producing a combined 594 hp (440 kW). The vehicle features integrated LiDAR sensors, a closed front grille, distinctive lighting groups and an aerodynamic silhouette that has sparked design‑copy debates, with critics noting similarities to Xiaomi’s YU7 and even Ferrari’s Purosangue.

The Luxeed RX is slated for a domestic launch in China in the autumn, with sales expected to begin later in the year. A possible European rollout has been mentioned for 2027. The model targets the premium electric crossover segment and aims to strengthen Luxeed’s position among China’s largest battery‑powered SUVs.
