Land Rover Defender 110 prices drop in India following local assembly
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has commenced local assembly of the Defender 110 at its manufacturing facility in Pune, India. By transitioning from the Completely Built-Up (CBU) import model to the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route, the company has significantly reduced prices for the luxury SUV.
The price reductions vary by engine variant. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol model has seen a price cut of ₹14 lakh, bringing its ex-showroom price down to ₹99 lakh. The 3.0-litre petrol and 3.0-litre diesel variants have received a larger reduction of ₹34 lakh each, with new ex-showroom prices starting at ₹1.18 crore.
In addition to the lower costs, JLR is including several previously optional features as standard equipment on the locally assembled models. For the 2.0-litre variant, this includes features such as adaptive off-road cruise control, electronic air suspension, and three-zone climate control. The 3.0-litre variants receive additional standard equipment including 20-inch alloy wheels and heated third-row seats. Deliveries for the locally assembled Defender 110 are scheduled to begin on November 15.
