Chery expands automotive presence in Colombia with new Villavicencio facility

Chery has expanded its automotive presence in Colombia with the opening of a new commercial showroom and after-sales service center in Villavicencio. Operated by Chery Gran Auto, the facility integrates vehicle exhibition with specialized technical support to serve the Meta department and the Eastern Plains region.

The expansion comes amid a rise in regional automotive activity. Data from RUNT indicates that in August 2026, the department recorded 608 vehicle registrations, a 38.88% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Chery has established itself as one of the top five brands for light electric vehicle registrations in the department, holding an 8.11% market share with models such as the E5 EV and eliCAR 03T.
