Chery expands SUV lineup with Tiggo 7 hybrid in Czech Republic and Tiggo 9 plug‑in SUV in Europe
Chinese automaker Chery introduced the Tiggo 7 HEV to the Czech market. The compact SUV is offered in a single, well‑equipped Unique trim for 749,000 CZK and features a 1.5‑litre turbocharged engine paired with a 150 kW electric motor, delivering 165 kW total output, 310 Nm torque and a combined fuel consumption of 5.7 L/100 km. Standard equipment includes leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats with memory, a Sony eight‑speaker audio system, ambient lighting and 50 W wireless phone charging.
Chery also previewed the Tiggo 9, a seven‑seat maxi SUV slated for the Italian market in November 2026. The plug‑in hybrid version combines a 428 hp powertrain with all‑wheel drive, accelerates from 0‑100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h. Its 5.2 kWh battery provides about 90 km of electric‑only range. Interior appointments feature genuine leather, heated/ventilated/massaging seats, and a premium sound system. Chery targets a list price below €50,000, positioning the model as a competitively priced luxury‑styled family SUV.
