Chery expands Indonesian dealer network and updates iCAR V27

Chery is expanding its presence in Indonesia and addressing sales challenges in China. In Indonesia, the company has inaugurated two new dealerships in Gianyar, Bali, and Medan, North Sumatra. This expansion brings Chery’s official network to 82 outlets across the country, aimed at improving consumer access to sales, maintenance, and official spare parts.

The Gianyar facility operates under a 3S concept (Sales, Services, and Spare Parts) and is equipped to handle both conventional and electrified vehicles, including hybrids and electric models. Meanwhile, in China, Chery is working to revitalize sales of the iCAR V27, which has seen a monthly decline in shipments from a peak of 4,184 units in April to 1,609 units in August. To counter this trend, a new Long-Range variant is expected to launch in late September, featuring improved range, cabin comfort, and smart technology.
