Chery iCaur V25 spied testing in Australia

The iCaur V25, a boxy electrified mid-size SUV from Chery, has been spotted testing at a charging station in Goulburn, New South Wales. This sighting precedes the vehicle's scheduled appearance at the Everything Electric Sydney event held from September 18-20.

Originally debuted at the Chengdu motor show in China, the V25 is part of Chery's upcoming iCaur brand launch in Australia, which is expected in early 2027. The vehicle utilizes an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain, featuring a 115kW turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine that acts as a generator to charge a 33.68kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.

The all-wheel-drive SUV produces a total system output of 335kW. It is claimed to offer an electric range exceeding 210km and a total combined range of over 1200km. While its design mimics rugged body-on-frame off-roaders, it is built with unibody construction.
