Chery launches new hybrid Tiggo SUVs in Australia and Morocco

Chery has introduced the 2026 Tiggo 4 Hybrid to the Australian market, pricing it at AU$29,990 drive‑away, making it the cheapest hybrid SUV available. The model pairs a 1.5‑litre petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 150 kW output and claims a fuel consumption of 5.4 L/100 km. It comes equipped with a suite of safety features, including a five‑star ANCAP rating, autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control, and offers amenities such as dual 10.25‑inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and a 360‑degree camera.

In Morocco, Chery is rolling out the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV through the Auto Hall network. The plug‑in hybrid delivers 346 hp, accelerating from 0‑100 km/h in 8.4 seconds, and offers a combined range of up to 1,300 km with an electric‑only range of around 93 km. It is powered by an 18.3 kWh battery that can be charged from 30 % to 80 % in 19 minutes using DC fast charging. Inside, the SUV features a 12.3‑inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone charging, premium interior finishes and a full suite of driver‑assistance systems. The model carries a seven‑year or 200,000 km warranty.
