Chery opens reservations for Stockman diesel hybrid ute in Australia

Chery Australia has officially opened the reservation program for the Stockman, a new diesel hybrid dual-cab ute. Starting 1 October 2026, customers can secure their place in line ahead of the official sales launch.

To incentivize early adopters, Chery is offering a pre-launch package that includes a $2,000 Bunnings gift card and three years or 45,000km of complimentary scheduled servicing. The vehicle features a partnership with Bunnings to align with Australian lifestyles.

The Stockman utilizes a 2.5-litre diesel engine paired with a 34 kWh battery, producing a combined 469 hp and 800 Nm of torque. It is designed for heavy-duty use, featuring a 4x4 architecture, three locking differentials, and a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes. Chery claims an electric range of 100 km (NEDC cycle) and a fuel consumption rate of 2 l/100 km when the battery is full.
