Chery rolls out new Tiggo SUV models in South Africa and Mexico

Chery South Africa introduced the Tiggo 8 Pro LS, a seven‑seat SUV that replaces the previous Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6TGDI 290T Executive+. The model adds a refreshed exterior, a turbocharged 1.6‑litre four‑cylinder engine (137 kW, 275 Nm) paired with a seven‑speed dual‑clutch gearbox, and a suite of advanced driver‑assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane‑keeping assist and a 540° panoramic camera. Interior upgrades include dual 12.3‑inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50 W wireless charger and enhanced climate controls.

In Mexico, Chery is promoting the Tiggo 4 PRO as a step‑up SUV for drivers seeking more space and technology. The vehicle offers a 20.5‑inch dual HD screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 50 W wireless charger, and a range of safety and comfort features aimed at families transitioning from a first car to a larger vehicle.
