Chery Tiggo models face performance critiques and market depreciation

The Chery Tiggo line is seeing significant shifts in both performance reviews and market valuation. The second-generation Tiggo features a four-speed automatic transmission and is priced at R$ 57,990, making it one of the most affordable automatic SUVs in the Brazilian market. However, reviews note that the automatic gearbox is slow, affecting acceleration, and fuel consumption is reported at 8 km/l in the city and 10.5 km/l on the highway.

In the used vehicle market, the Tiggo 8 Pro 2025 has experienced notable depreciation. According to FIPE data, the seven-seater SUV lost approximately R$ 34,059 (16.9%) in value over a 19-month period, bringing its average price down to R$ 167,931. While this represents a loss for original buyers who paid the adjusted January 2025 price of R$ 201,990, it presents a potential opportunity for second-hand buyers seeking a spacious and equipped vehicle at a lower cost.
