Chery to launch Exlantix premium brand in Australia and New Zealand
Chery is expanding its premium presence in Australasia by introducing the Exlantix brand to the Australian and New Zealand markets. Lilian Xiong, CEO of Exeed and Exlantix International, confirmed the move during the Exeed International User Summit in Shanghai.
Due to trademark restrictions preventing the use of the Exeed name in these regions, the company will utilize the Exlantix identity, which serves as the electrified vehicle arm of Chery’s premium brand. The brand is expected to compete with other premium Chinese new-energy manufacturers such as Zeekr and Denza.
The initial rollout is expected to feature the Exlantix ET SUV and the Exlantix ES GT shooting brake. In Australia, the brand’s first vehicles are anticipated to arrive in the first half of 2027. The ET SUV will be available in both electric and range-extended powertrain configurations, while the ES GT is a shooting brake version of the ES sedan.
