Chery unveils new Tiggo 7 and Tiggo X7 SUV models
At the Chery Brand Night and Global User Summit held in Wuhu, China, Chery Group officially debuted the all-new Tiggo 7 and the Tiggo X7. The Tiggo 7 is positioned as a family-oriented SUV focused on daily comfort, featuring a redesigned exterior with updated LED lighting and a minimalist interior equipped with large touchscreens and massage seats.
The Tiggo X7 marks the debut of the new Tiggo X series, designed with a more rugged, off-road character. It features a boxy design, higher ground clearance, and six driving modes to accommodate various terrains. Both models share a technical base and a 115 kW petrol engine, with hybrid options expected for the X7.
To demonstrate safety, Chery conducted a live public crash test of the Tiggo 7 at the Longshan Crash Laboratory. The vehicle underwent a 50 km/h impact with a truck, during which the eCall emergency system activated and the passenger compartment remained intact. Chery noted that the Tiggo 7 series has previously achieved five-star ratings from various international safety organizations, including Euro NCAP and ANCAP.
