Chinese car makers unveil premium MPV and EV models in August 2024
ZunJie placed its first V800 and V680 showcase vehicles in dealerships on July 30, moving the models from exhibition to store floor ahead of an official launch on August 5 at a flagship MPV and Huawei event. The V800 is priced between 800,000 and 1.2 million yuan, while the V680 ranges from 650,000 to 900,000 yuan; after 23 days of pre‑sale the two models collected more than 10,000 orders, about 80 % of which are for the V800.
Chery introduced the Wind Cloud A9 electric sedan, announcing a shift away from aggressive price‑cutting after reaching 20 million global sales. All A9 trims share a 70 kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate battery delivering a CLTC range of 655 km, and are priced from 10.99 million to 12.99 million yuan. The model is positioned to compete with Xpeng’s MONA M03, which sells for 11.98 million–15.18 million yuan and offers 540–640 km range, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 250,000 units.
Deep Blue launched pre‑sales for its new S05 electric SUV, offering five configurations priced between 11.99 million and 15.19 million yuan. The S05 features a laser radar, 26 high‑precision sensors, dual Horizon J6M chips and a 3 nm cockpit processor, and provides 520 km or 620 km CLTC range with fast‑charge capability (30 %–80 % state‑of‑charge in under 15 minutes).
