Chess tournaments scheduled for September 2026 in Spain

Several chess tournaments are scheduled to take place in Spain in September 2026.

In Jumilla, the tenth edition of the 'Batalla por equipos de la Amistad' will be held on September 20. This hexagonal round-robin tournament features teams from Aspe, Novelda, Caravaca de la Cruz, Jumilla, and Yecla. The competition will utilize a rapid chess format with a time control of 7 minutes plus a 3-second increment per move.

Additionally, the Spanish Inclusive Chess Championship will be hosted in Roquetas de Mar, Almería, from September 25 to 27. Organized by the Andalusian Chess Federation in collaboration with the Spanish Chess Federation, the event uses a seven-round Swiss system. The championship is divided into two categories: Group A for players with a disability of 33% or higher, and Group B for players without disabilities or with less than 33% disability.
