Chessington World of Adventures closes due to water outage

Chessington World of Adventures has been forced to close due to a water outage in the KT9 area of Surrey. The disruption was caused by a burst water main on Leatherhead Road, according to Thames Water.

The theme park advised visitors not to travel to the site and stated that all tickets booked for the day will be ‘revalidated’ under its ‘Return Promise’. This policy allows guests to use their tickets on a future date, though some customers expressed frustration on social media regarding the lack of immediate refunds and the requirement to pre-book reservations for return visits.

Thames Water reported that repairs are underway to restore service. The outage occurs while parts of England are under a hosepipe ban due to drought conditions.
