Chester Kieffer wins maiden Porsche Carrera Cup race at Nürburgring
Luxembourgish driver Chester Kieffer secured his first career victory in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland during a high-stakes race at the Nürburgring. Kieffer, driving for CLRT Schumacher, took the lead from pole-sitter Alexander Tauscher early in the race and maintained his advantage through 20 laps.
The event was marked by significant incidents, including a safety car deployment following a collision in the field. Championship contender Alexander Tauscher suffered setbacks after being required to drop positions following a maneuver and was later involved in another collision that dropped him to 22nd place. Theo Oeverhaus also sustained damage during the incident.
The podium was completed by Marcus Amand in second place and Sam Jongejan in third. Keagan Masters finished fourth, maintaining his lead in the championship standings with 210 points, followed by Flynt Schuring in fifth with 203 points. The title race remains undecided heading into the season finale in Hockenheim this October.
