Chester Walsh builds Star Wars-inspired spaceship in garden
Chester Walsh, a 29-year-old science fiction enthusiast living in Northamptonshire, has spent the last three months constructing a life-sized spaceship in his garden. The project, which cost over £9,000, was designed to serve as a functional social space and summer house.
The structure features a bar, a window, and a curved bench that doubles as a bed. Walsh utilized 3D models during the planning phase and built the structure on approximately 100 pedestal supports to allow for air circulation and to create the visual effect of the vessel floating above the ground.
Walsh, who shares his work on social media, noted that the project was inspired by his lifelong passion for science fiction and comics. This is not his first themed outdoor project; he previously modified a garden shed into an improvised bar and decorated a garden office with Star Wars-inspired wall panels.
