Chester Zoo to host David Attenborough immersive exhibition
Chester Zoo has announced that the immersive production ‘Our Story with David Attenborough’ will arrive in the north of England this autumn. Scheduled to open on 17 October 2026, the exhibition will be hosted in the zoo’s former Ape House, marking the first time the full-scale experience has been held at a venue outside of London.
Created in collaboration with Sir David Attenborough and Open Planet Studios, the 50-minute production utilizes natural history footage, scientifically accurate animation, 360-degree projections, and an original musical score. The experience explores the four-billion-year history of Earth alongside the more recent history of humankind, focusing on the relationship between people and the planet.
The production follows a highly successful run at London’s Natural History Museum, which began in June 2025 and attracted more than 245,000 visitors through a series of sold-out performances.
