Cheteshwar Pujara selects his current World Test XI

Former Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara has selected his ideal current World Test XI. His lineup features five Indian players, including KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, and an opener slot, while including only one player from the reigning champions, South Africa.

Pujara chose Aiden Markram and KL Rahul as opening partners. The middle order consists of Joe Root, Steven Smith, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant. The all-rounder positions are filled by Ravindra Jadeja and Pat Cummins.

The bowling attack is headlined by Australians Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon, alongside Cummins. Notably, Yashasvi Jaiswal was omitted from the selection in favor of the chosen openers.
