Chetumal International Airport establishes new customs section
The Chetumal International Airport has officially established a customs section, following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation. This development, announced by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, allows for the aerial entry and exit of import and export goods.
The new customs section is intended to function as part of a larger economic ecosystem in southern Quintana Roo. It aims to integrate with the Maya Train, the Strategic Fiscalized Enclosure, the Chetumal Free Zone, and the Chetumal Economic Development Pole to create a comprehensive aerial, customs, and fiscal logistics platform.
