Chevening Scholarships 2027-28 applications open for UK master's programs

The UK government has opened applications for the Chevening Scholarships for the 2027/28 academic year. Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organizations, this global program provides fully funded opportunities for talented individuals to pursue a one-year master's degree at an eligible university in the United Kingdom.

To qualify, applicants must hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to an Upper Second-Class (2:1) Honours degree and demonstrate at least two years of professional work experience (approximately 2,800 hours). Candidates are required to apply for three eligible master's courses in the UK and must receive at least one unconditional offer. A key requirement of the program is that scholars must return to their home country for at least two years following the completion of their studies to contribute to their local communities.

The scholarship package typically includes a monthly stipend, travel costs, visa fees, and tuition fees. The application deadline is October 6, 2026, at 11:00 UTC.
