Chevereșu Mare: Student hospitalized after school altercation

An 11-year-old student was hospitalized following a physical altercation with a 13-year-old classmate at a school in Chevereșu Mare, Timiș. The incident occurred on September 16, 2026, at the end of the school day.

According to school officials, the conflict began after the younger boy allegedly insulted his older peer. During the ensuing confrontation, the 11-year-old fell and sustained a fractured right arm and a shoulder injury. He was transported to the ‘Louis Țurcanu’ Children's Hospital, where he remains hospitalized for specialized care.

Local police have opened a criminal case for assault and other forms of violence. Investigators are working to determine the exact circumstances of the conflict. The school's violence commission has also convened to analyze the incident and determine appropriate measures regarding those involved.
