Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur moves Sunday market to town center
The Sunday market in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur is moving to a new location to revitalize local commerce. Starting August 30, the market will relocate from its previous site at l’Ogive to the parvis of the Hôtel de Ville on Place du Général-de-Gaulle.
Following a period of declining attendance and a reduction in the number of vendors, the municipality aims to boost visibility and accessibility by moving the market to the town center. The inaugural session at the new site is expected to feature 14 vendors, including producers of fresh produce, clothing, jewelry, and prepared foods. Mayor Guillaume Ruet stated that the move is intended to prevent the market from gradually disappearing and to establish it as a regular community gathering point.
