Chevrolet C4 Corvette #001 discovered after 30 years in garage

A rare Chevrolet C4 Corvette, identified as VIN #001, was recently discovered in an American garage after being stored for 30 years. The vehicle, which represents the first production model of the C4 generation, was found in near-new condition with only 277 original miles on the odometer.

Detailing specialists WD Detailing were brought in to clean and preserve the vehicle. Despite being stored for decades, the car remained in superb condition, though the team noted evidence of mice in the garage. The owner reportedly secured the vehicle by taking out a second mortgage on his home. The car features an L83 V8 engine and was part of a private collection maintained by the owner until his passing in October 2024.
