Chevrolet expands premium SUV lineup and hybrid production

Chevrolet has announced several updates to its vehicle lineup, focusing on high-end trims and hybrid technology. The company revealed the 2027 Traverse High Country, a premium version of its large SUV designed to offer luxury features similar to the GMC Denali line. This top-tier variant includes a leather interior with natural tan accents, real wood details, and a 17.7-inch multimedia center. It also features an advanced camera system for external and internal monitoring.

In Brazil, General Motors is expanding its local production capabilities. The Chevrolet Captiva PHEV, a plug-in hybrid SUV, is scheduled to be assembled at the Ceará Automotive Plant (PACE) by 2026. This model, derived from the Wuling Starlight S, will be the first GM hybrid in the Brazilian market, intended to compete with various Chinese SUV models. The vehicle will be assembled using the SKD (semi-knocked-down) method, incorporating local components such as tires, motors, and multimedia systems.
