Chevrolet to reintroduce Desert Boss package for 2027 Colorado

Chevrolet is set to reintroduce the Desert Boss Special Edition for the 2027 Colorado. According to reports from GM Authority, the package will be available exclusively for the Colorado ZR2 model.

The upcoming 2027 version will be sold as a dealer-installed option rather than a factory-prepped special edition. The kit is expected to include a specialized off-road front bumper, a unique lighting package, Multimatic Jounce Control Dampers, Tech Bronze-finished recovery hooks, door sill plates, and a front fender decal package.

Additionally, the 2027 Colorado will feature an updated 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, known as the L4B, which produces 350 horsepower. This engine replaces the previous L3B model.
