Chhadami Lal Jain Temple tourism project nears completion in Firozabad
Development of the Jain Tourism Circuit in Uttar Pradesh is progressing, with approximately 80 percent of the work completed at the historic Chhadami Lal Jain Temple in Firozabad. The 28 crore rupee project is expected to be finished in October.
The upgrades include the construction of a multipurpose auditorium, dormitories, and mural walls to enhance facilities for pilgrims and tourists. Currently, the auditorium and dormitories are about 85 percent complete, while the mural wall stands at 60 percent.
A major attraction of the temple is the 42-foot-tall stone statue of Lord Bahubali, considered one of the prominent Bahubali statues in North India. The statue was originally transported from Karkala, Karnataka, via a special trolley that traversed 64 hills over a three-month period.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh stated that the state government is focused on preserving the rich Jain heritage of Uttar Pradesh and integrating these sites into the broader tourism circuit by providing modern amenities.
