Chhatarpur: Protests erupt over suicide of RSS activist Pushpendra Singh

Protests have erupted in Chhatarpur following the suicide of Pushpendra Singh Parmar, an activist associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Members of the Sarv Hindu Samaj organized a rally and submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police, demanding an impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.

The organization and the victim's family allege that the police displayed negligence and exerted undue pressure on Parmar. According to the family, Parmar was attempting to assist in a case involving a minor, but was instead falsely implicated in the matter. Protesters further claimed that police officials threatened him with charges under the POCSO Act, which they believe led to his mental distress and subsequent suicide.

The demonstrators have called for departmental inquiries into the roles of the Pipat station in-charge and the women's station in-charge. Copies of the memorandum have been sent to high-ranking officials, including the Director General of Police in Bhopal and the Inspector General in Sagar. The group has warned of further protests if swift and fair action is not taken.
