Chhattisgarh achieves national agricultural award and medical expansion

The Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh has received a national award for the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Dhan-Dhanya Yojana. At a national agriculture conference in New Delhi, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented the ‘best district’ award to Dantewada officials, recognizing the region's achievements in agricultural development and farmer welfare. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the district administration and farmers, noting that the honor reflects the success of state policies in tribal-dominated areas.

In a separate development regarding state infrastructure, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced that Chhattisgarh is evolving into a major medical hub for Central India. Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony for a new cancer treatment center at Omega Medicine Hospital in Raipur, the Chief Minister emphasized the goal of providing accessible and affordable super-specialty services. The expansion of oncology facilities aims to reduce the need for residents to travel to other states for critical care, particularly for serious illnesses like cancer.
